When James Herriot, in his books James Herriot's Cat Stories, wrote that cats are the connoisseurs of comfort, he had probably understood the mystery of these wonderful beings and hence the quote. There are so many blogs and websites that are all about cats and their wisdom. The mystery of cats have given rise to such quotations as "every cat owner knows that nobody owns a cat - Ellen Perry Berkely" or "a dog is a man's best friend, a cat is it's own best friend - Robert J Vogel". Despite the mystery and the humour that exists around these graceful beings, cats have been a favourite furry friend for hundred of people around the world. In fact cats have been domesticated for more than 12,000 years.
