Avoiding KCI Papers Fraud While Buying a Puppy

Whenever any dog lover going to buy the puppy he gets the pup and after getting the pup he/she starts waiting for Puppy registration papers. If the breeder/Kennel is geniuine the buyer gets the otherwise an endless wait. Most of The backyard breeders never gave papers just to save small amount of money.

Here are some tips to avoid such headaches :

  1. Ask breeder scan KCI Regd. papers of both Dam/Sire.
  2. Ask for litter Regd. Scan Paper.
  3. If possible visit the breeder's home to see Dam/Sire and actual puppies.
  4. Note up kennel Regd Number.
  5. Always keep records like Sms/call/deposit slip for taking action if not give papers.

What to do if breeder never gave paper but only dates.

  1. Report KCI, with kennel regd number such malpractice.
  2. Report local police station about fraud.
  3. Keep records like deposit slips/sms/calls and use it as proof.

If we won't take action, the fraud breeders never give up their malpractice of KCI Regd. papers.

how do i verify whether the kci registrn that i have got from the breeder is genuine.
can we cross verify with KCI the details ??

In India, it is almost impossible as DNA testing facilities are not available here. You will have to decide whether the person you are dealing with, is worth trusting or not, after probing his background thoroughly. No other options.

We are very far behind in adapting to new technologies and approaches which are followed and scientifically proven by world, call it as DNA testing or frozen sperms for bettering bloodlines, what it would take for the forum/ group take to change and adopt to the new changes, it surely benefit all.

DNA Testing is available in southern India I think, because such case is heared there some days ago when a customer named Mr. Mohanty got cheated by some banagalore kennel.
