Bomb Sniffing Dog Saves Handler's Life!

If it wasn't for Diego , the bomb sniffing ; Officer Manuel Ynid would probably not have seen the light of day! Officer Manuel and Diego were a part of the team that was investigating a bomb explosion at a massage parlour in Zamboanga, Southern Philippines. The blast in the massage parlour had not caused any casualties. As Officer Ynid cautiously approached an unclaimed cardboard box, Diego became cautious and alerted Office Ynid that the box contains a bomb. Ynid was able to quickly move away from the cardboard box bomb before it exploded. Though Ynid suffered from minor injuries, Diego was completely unharmed. Belgian Malinois
According to the security officials, there have been several bomb explosions in the strife torn southern port city of Zamboanga, Philippines. The cardboard box bomb was made from ammonium nitrate and was probably set off with a mobile phone. Zamboanga has been the scene of muslim rebel activity in the past and peace is yet to be restored in the city.
Officer Ynid is in stable condition while
Diego, a 3 year old veteran of the Bomb Sniffing Squad has been given a week to recover from the stress. Diego has been instrumental in sniffing bombs in public places in the city and has saved many lives.
