Trust us, even we found it a little hard to believe this news! The Mayor of Cormorant, Minnesota is none other than an adorable furball called Duke. And it’s his third term as mayor. Well, this is actually a
, a 9-year-old dog. Duke’s head of staff also his owner; Dave Rick mentioned that in 2014, the pooch has inadvertently won by about 12 write-in votes. His rating has been affirmative since a long time now. He defeated an owner of a local store, Richard Sherbrook. Hence, this made him elected as the Mayor for the third term as well.

Imagine an adorable furball as a mayor. Ever wondered what kind of duties he will be performing. Our guesses include banning all the squirrels around, bones all round the year, no bath day and of course if he turns out to be an open-minded mayor, cats might rejoice as well.

Keeping all the jokes aside, things are a little unclear as dogs can’t operate computers, or give commands or even talk. Hence, managing the district might turn out to be a little difficult. According to a local resident, Karen Nelson says, “I don't know who would run against him because he's done such great things for the community.”
But with the advancement in technology, we are pretty sure that there must be a way that would help Duke to communicate with the staff and keep Cormorant a happy place.
