Finally I was allowed to keep a Dog.

 Hi 

I am Biswajit, an ardent Dog lover. I as a kid always dreamed of owning a Dog of my own!!

My grand parents and my parents always showed me new milestones to achieve before I could think of having a Dog.

I passed std 1, then 3, then 5th, 7th, 10th (called Matric in our state) as i was told to. Then they said college degree is must!!

Then you know the usual story of small town boys; getting into a profession (Doc/ Engg....) becomes the only mission in life.

But my love for dogs would only grow stronger with all these hurdles. In the mean time I had tried my luck at different Gullerians (Indian/ Desi breeds). Tippu, Honey, Johny to name a few.

I dared to lift one puppy  from those unmanned, unattended wells in the far flung fields in my village, after a lot of struggle in freeing it from it's mother's clutches. Thanks to my friends who were my close allies in this "Mission rescue".  "Honey" was kept on the raincap of our main entrance, so that  my mom would not know. But those relentless cooing would not keep my mother in dark for long.......

Several such stories still flood my memory cells...........

Finally a doctor degree and my marriage was over.

NOW I WAS OFFICIALLY ALLOWED TO KEEP A DOG!!! Thanks to my wife who did not keep any clause......But again brows were raised when i said it is a ROTTWEILLER........So I had to keep it as docile as possible. So Leo was humanised to the core. Who says Dogs don't smile. Have a look at my Leo when he is happy. Now Leo  is a proven stud..............ready for further propagation of his race. Thats a cute story. Thank god my dad was a dog lover too. And I have lived with dogs all my life. My hubby is a dog crazy so we have our own kennel now. The love my dogs give me has always made life better and has always urges me to forgive others like they do. And for the rotty, they are not like u hear if cared properly and given attention extensively they are the best dogs. A three year old kid always. Good luck with him.
