Forgot To Clean After Your Pet? Get Ready To Shell Out INR 21K As A Fine [News]

We have come across a lot of Resident Welfare Association (RWA) in societies where parks and recreational areas display “Dogs not allowed” boards, much to the dismay of pet loving residents. One of the main reasons that RWA’s put up such boards is to avoid pets soil the parks and keep them clean.

A locality in Greater Noida has gone an extra mile to keep their parks clean and keep dogs off their parks. The city’s Beta 1 sector has now decided to implement a heavy penalty of INR 21,000 on resident’s whose pets dirty the parks in the locality. The decision was taken after the RWA members failed to convince pet owners to clean up after their dogs. Despite repeated requests, the pet owners have failed to pay heed to the guidelines of the RWAs.

With such a hefty fine in place, Beta 1 RWA hopes to have better cooperation from the pet owning residents and also cleaner parks for children and older neighbours.
