Our Judges

Jean Jacques Dupas (France)

An experienced and respected FCI Judge Mr Dupas has been an owner and handler of Afghans, Berger des Pyrenees and Shih Tsu. He has exhibited his dogs in France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Italy, Portugal and many other countries of Europe.

He has held many positions of importance in the French canine world such as : Secretary of French Kennel Club in Paris; President of Club St Hubert du Nord (Kennel Club for the north of France); President of the Club du Caniche de France; Member of comite Club Français de l'Eurasier ; President of the Afghan and Saluki French Club; President of the Greyhound French Club; Secretary of the Berger des Pyrénées and Pyrenean Mountain Dog French Club.

He has judged in : France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Great Britain, Ireland, USA, Poland, Finland, Hungary, Sweden, Canada, Portugal, Slovakia, Lithuania, Monaco..


Denis Kuzelj (Slovenia)

Mr. Denis Kuzelj is the President of the Slovenian Kennel Club. He has been breeding and exhibiting Old English Sheepdogs, Papillon and Welsh Terriers under the APSALA, with high success. Many of his dogs have been International and Multi champions, Multi Best in Show winners. He is an, active International judge and is Chairman of the International Dog Show Ljubljana & Tromostovje and Chairman of the Euro Dogshow 2010 in Slovenia". He is also a Member of Exam Committee of the Slovenian Kennel Club and member of the FCI Show Commission.

Denis Kuzelj will also judge National Labrador Speciality Dog Show. He has judged speciality shows of Bearded Collie , Rough Collie , Old English Sheepdog , Shetland Sheepdog , Siberian Husky , Akita Inu , Labrador Retriever , Golden Retriever, Am. Cocker Spaniel ,English Spaniel , Bichon Frise , Papillon, Poodles , Shih Tzu , Toys .

He has judged in : South America, North America, Asia and 36 European countries.



Gael Morison (South Africa)

Gael Morison was exposed to all facets of dogdom and especially Afghans from an early age. She was fascinated {and still is} by exotic hounds and purchased her first Afghan in 1973. The ATLANTIS prefix was registered with the Kennel Union of Southern Africa in 1976. Shetland Sheepdogs joined the kennel in 1994. She and her husband have enjoyed steady success through the years with breeding and exhibiting. She was Master of Ceremonies and on the Debate Panel speaking on '' Correct Pelvic Assembly - Aesthetic or Essential??'' at the 2005 Afghan Hound World Congress in South Africa. Currently she is President of the Afghan Hound Association of South Africa. She serves as Chairman of Natal Sporting Hound Association and Chairman of the Kwa Zulu Natal Judges Sub Committee. I her own words "Exhibiting our Afghans and Shelties, stewarding and judges make up demanding but rewarding hobby and way of life "!

She has judged in :Since the early eighties, she has judged regularly throughout South Africa, qualifying in the other groups and finally achieving All Breeds status in 1994. She has also judged extensively in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Finland, Norway, United Kingdom, Phillipines, Brasil, Colombia, Indonesia and Chile. She judged at the 2006 FCI World Show in Poznan, Poland in November 2006.



Maureen Boyd (New Zealand)

Maureen and her husband have bred top winning Boxers since 1963. They are still breeding and exhibiting Boxers, and own the only three American/Canadian Champion imports in their country. They have also had great success with Bostons, Cavaliers, Chihuahuas, Griffons and Basenjies. Maureen is the longest serving member of the NZKC Executive Council, and has chaired most of the NZKC Committees. She is currently the President of the oldest All Breed Club in NZ. She is also a Life member of the NZKC and many other clubs. Ms. Boyd became a Panel judge in 1971 and an All Breed judge in 1981.

Maureen will be judging National Boxer Speciality Show as well. She is the president of the Wellington and Districts Boxer Club in New Zealand and will also be the first New Zealand judge to judge the American Boxer Club Regional in Oklahoma.

She has judged in :All over NZ, every State and Territory of Australia [including three Royals], Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Canada, South Africa, Denmark.



Toyohiko Watanabe (Japan)

Toyohiko Watanabe was born in a family of dog lovers and has owned many breeds such as Akitas, Shibas, Japanese Spitz, Scottish Terriers, Shetland Sheepdogs etc. He began breeding Dachshunds in the 1970's. Has also been involved with breeding Afghan Hounds, Siberian Huskies, Shibas, Akitas, Poodles, Chihuahuas, and so on. Has produced many Champions under his kennel name.

While he is professionally engaged as a doctor, he has been judging, as an FCI/AKU/JKC All Breed Judge at many shows throughout Japan including the FCI International Dog Show and the JKC National Dachshunds Specialty Show.

He has judged in :Republic of China, Philippines, Indonesia and Singapore.



Greg Browne (Australia)

Mr. Greg Browne of 'Eireannmada' fame needs little introduction to setter and cavalier enthusiasts. Having owned, handled, shown and bred Irish and English Setters for over 35 years there is no award that his dogs have not won. The prefix "Eireannmada' was first registered in 1968. His Irish and English Setters and Cavalier King Charles Spaniels have won Royal Challenges, Specialty BIS's, Setter Specialties and a range of Setter Club Annual awards. The Eireannmada prefix is found in every successful pedigree in Australia, New Zealand, USA, Europe, UK, Asia and India. The highlight of his show career came Grand CH Tar quin Continuum who became the breed record holder, winning 40 BIS awards. He was sired by CH Eireannmada Star Kingdom and of course the ultimate came with Grand Ch Eireannmada At Tulane achieving Best In Show at Melbourne Royal in 1998.

He has judged in :All over Australia, New Zealand and UK.




C. V. Sudarsan (India)

Hailing from a family of dog lovers Mr.C.V. Sudarsan is the Secretary of the Kennel Club of India. He entered Canine activity almost three decades ago and commenced his show career by exhibiting Spitz and then seriously went on to breeding and exhibiting Pugs. Since then he has bred and owned Lhasa Apso's, Beagles, Boxers, GSD's, Dobermanns, Dachshunds, Fox Terriers and Bulldogs and is currently committed to breeding and exhibiting Dobermanns, Pugs and Dachshunds.A keen exhibitor for the last 30 years he has won every prestigious KCI award with his exhibits, ncluding 'Dog of the Year'; Puppy of the Year'; 'Dog of the Year Bred In India' and ' Breeder of the Year'. Mr.C.V. Sudarsan obtained his All Breeds Judging License in 1984 and has been judging continuously since then and is on the panel of the Asian Kennel Union and FCI Judges. He is a Member of several Registered Clubs in India and is also the Editor of the prestigious Indian Kennel Gazette, a doggy magazine that is also the official publication of the Kennel Club of India. Mr.Sudarsan has had the distinction of having judged every club show in India and has also judged in five continents. He has judged the Pug speciality in America and also various other places.
