how can i do this....

Hi Gaurav,
i very recently went to get a puppy from germany specially and this is the following details i had cleared: (but you do need an agent as things work very smoothly & they are not expensive)
1) Copy of Vaccination records, like a pet passport. If puppy over 3 months it also needs a rabies vaccine done.
2) Health Certificate issued, endorsed and stamped by the government official health authorities in Origin country.
3) Veterinary Certificate for Import of pets into India.( Attachment should be endorsed and stamped by the government official health authorities in origin country.) Will be required to be sent there and get a scaned copy to yourself, later getting the original which will be sent back to the place of origin. complicated :)
4) Animal Quarantine Certificate from India, here which when you land will be given to you by your agent which is provisional and gets final after 30 days requiring a letter from your local vet.
5) Copy of passport of the owner.
6) If pet coming as accompanied baggage then you must have stayed at least 3 days in that country else the indian customs here will else trouble you.
7) Pedigree certificate is as per Kennel Club requirements.

Gaurav, one difference : no foreign airlines ask prior Quarantine clearance from India but you need to carry a xerox of the provisional quarantine certificate which is required by our customs here, AI & foreign airlines are far far better as they only see your:
1. Vaccination records (pet passport)
2. Health Certificate issued, endorsed and stamped by the government official health authorities in Origin country.

Microchipping is added where ever required as you correctly said in a pet dog case no chipping is ok too.

I can write lot in specific details but i can't type fast and get bored :)

Pet As Unaccompanied shipment (cargo) along with the shipping documents:
1) Health Certificate - (as per format)
2) Vaccination Certificate
3) AWB Copy
4) Certificate of Undertaking Form - 3D for Import of pet into India
5) Passport Copy
6) Authority Letter from Owner for the agent.
7) note all above documents are required 4-5 days prior to arrival of pet in order apply for import permit.
8) All the pets arriving as Unaccompanied shipment (cargo) are subject to Customs duties and taxes, Fine and penalty.

Sorry could not reply earlier.
Nishant, i do get dogs for people from abroad and charge them my standard fee (not so expensive) and get what they want, even a litter from Crufts winners. The costing is very transparent & all possible account are given, sometimes i don't get a taxi reciept :).
Mr Ramakrishna, if you have imported where is the question that you went there? or did you get it as an accompanied baggage? well anyway, please request the kci secretary of your city informing him of the same. Also attach a xerox copy of your visa & relevant stamped pages when you went there, along with this, contact the breeder or the person you bought the puppy from ask him to get a letter from his kennel club stating that you (with your india address) have bought the puppy from there.

1. vaccinations & suvh records including rabies.

Dear SumanTuffy, the procedure for transfering a dog from india to UK, 1st it will be quarantined, you will require documents to release & secure the custody of your pet. we do all this so mail us at avinitigroup@yahoo.com. :) :) No its not so expensive.
