Jesse the Super Obedient Jack Russell [Video]

19 May 2014 | by Adnan A Khan | Posted in: Training

“Jesse! Go get my newspaper! Jesse! Take off my shoes, please.”

How many times do we dream of having such  a wonderful dog by our side when we plan on getting a puppy or dog? But what we don’t realise is that dogs like Jesse are not born like that. Speaking human is a foreign language to them and only humans are responsible for teaching them this alien tongue.

Watch this fantastic video where we enjoy a Jack Russell Terrier called Jesse perform some outstanding actions displaying some overwhelming levels of obedience and training. Read on How To Train a Dog

As I always say, ‘a dog’s behaviour is a true reflection of their human owner’. In context, we should shower Jesse’s human with tremendous amounts of praise and appreciation for showing us the potential of a dog’s ability and cognition.

The lesson I would like for everyone to take back is that dogs like Jesse and Nana are from the same planet as us and are not some extra-terrestrial, over-responsive species. They are just regular dogs like yours or mine. Given a decent amount of effort and practice, it is possible for any dog to achieve such extrasensory obedience.

Also, let’s not forget consistency and patience. Most owners give up too soon on attempting to train their dog because of the very obvious communication gap that persists amongst the two favourite species (dogs and humans). If we remain calm and exude such energies while teaching and practicing commands, you will be amazed at how your dog responds. As opposed to the excited energy one displays when they are extremely frustrated and lose their patience on their voiceless pets.
