Man arrested for assaulting two women for sheltering stray pups in Pune

Insanity is reaching a new level every day. Recently, in Pune, Maharashtra, a 43-year man was arrested for assaulting a mother and her daughter. The reason behind the assault is something unimaginable. The women just provided shelter to two stray pups in their society. This incident took place in Mahatma Society, Kothrud, Pune on Sunday 25th September 2016.

The accused named Milind Kale has been charged under section 325- causing grievous hurt, along with section 354- outraging modesty of woman and section 506- criminal intimidation. Sonal, mother and her daughter Sejal Saraf who is in her twenties had adopted two stray pups from the street and provided the pooches some food and shelter. According to the accused, Mr. Kale, the pups were a source of nuisance for the residents of the society.
The Sarafs were not ready to give up the puppies and as a result, Kale assaulted them. In the incident, both mother and daughter duo was injured. The entire thing was captured on CCTV, which shows Kale hitting the women with a shoe.

Sejal Saraf mentioned saying, “When we saw the two puppies wandering on the street, searching for food, so we brought them home and fed them biscuits. Kale opposed this and started assaulting us.”Kale is unemployed, while his wife is an income tax officer. As per police, the stray dog gave birth to four pups and died a few days after delivering the babies. Radhika Phadake who works as an inspector at Kothrud Police Station said, “The complainant, who is an animal lover, started taking care of four puppies. Yesterday Kale who lived in the same society called up the municipal authorities and asked them to take away the puppies.”
