Owner Takes His Dying Dog To An Epic Road Trip

16 Jul 2016 | by Deepshikha Tahiliani | Posted in: Wag News

It would break your heart, if you get the news that your furball has cancer. Well, Robert Kugler got the news that his pup, Bella has bone cancer. It was detected last year. As a result, a leg was amputated. The condition worsened when the vet informed that the cancer has now spread to the lungs. To make sure that Bella has the best time and doesn’t feel down, Robert decided to take his three-legged best bud to an epic road trip. Kugler mentioned that "This is one of the biggest connections I've ever had to another living being. I don't care that it's a dog."

Bella camped out in Kugler’s Toyota 4Runner, had a fun time couch-surfing with Kugler’s friends all throughout the trip. Kugler’s adds that “I want to inspire people to get outside and live. Love each other for who we are and make friends.” Bella is a Labrador, who traveled with his owner making the most of the time she has got and making memories with who she loves the most.

It is an unsaid rule that one can value friendship by being there for each other, no commitments, no judging, just with all your heart and soul. Check out the journey of Kugler and Bella, which are giving us major travel goals for life.

Doctors had given Bella a stretch of three to six months to live last year. But she lived longer and had the time of her life during the epic road trip with her best bud. But, Kugler is aware that Bella hasn’t got much time. But in any case, Kugler is blessed to have Bella in his life. This love of a human for his dog melted our hearts. We wish Bella a hale and hearty departure.
