Adoption - Dog Forum
Hello All,
i have a male, white, 1 1/2yr old lab, mix, goes by the name of RHETT, that i want to give for adoption to a good home. i'm a single, 63 yr senior citizen and i got Rhett when he was just 10 days old, along with his sister. the reason i was given them was because the people who had them couldnt cope and they knew uncle Carl kept cats, so i took them in on compassion. but i couldnt handle both and had to give his sister back. He has all the requisite shots and a license valid till March 2012. he gets a bit aggresive towards strangers at times, but is mostly loving like his master .......... ha, ha
It breaks my heart just to say i want to give him up, cause i love him too much and would hate to see him go, but unfortunately i've got an attack of oestroarthritis of the knees and its difficult for me to manage him. He is a very loving dog, knows only one master and needs lots of space, which he is used to.
please somebody helpppppppppppp .....

We live in Delhi. We`re going out of India and for legal reasons we`re not allowed to take our dog along. It`s in Australia`s policy that no animal is allowed to enter the country from India directly (please see: http://www.daff.gov.au/aqis/ca t-dogs/countries/cat6?name=Ind ia ). We have found out what will it take to take him along. Jaamu will have to spend minimum of 8 months and up to a year in quaramtines and in kennels in third country. It will cost us (med tests, paper work, transportation, accomodation) up to 15000 UsD. We cannot aford it.
We got Jaamu 2 years ago. He was 1 months old. My husband picked him up on a highway, else he would be crushed by trucks.
Jaamu is a dog you can see in my avatar. He is naughty, lovable, active and healthy dog. He is absolutely fine with people, but he becomes very excited and aggressive towards strange dogs. He is ok with puppies and grown up dogs, if introduced properly.
Health stats: vaccinated, neutered, age: 2 years.
Jaamu is mixbreed dog. It`s not easy to find a new home for him.
We really would like to give to someone who is an animal lover, will be able to understand Jaamu`s character and make him a happy dog.
We would like to request your help to find him a new family, maybe you know someone , who`ll be intrested
