priyankar

1.Aviod Pedigree as it contains fillers and food qulity not so good ( consult with other senior members here also )
2.Drools no idea
3.Royal Canin Best food but very costly
4.After 6/8 month slowly switch to move made food.

But it also depends on the breed and age of your dog

It would be better if you provide packed food atleast 6 months, there wont be any problem if you provide packed food like Royal Canin/Science Plan life long...

BARF means Bones and Raw Feed, you can get it in normal butcher shop but you need to browse in internet about the amount to feed and calculation metrics.

I personally have kept dogs since childhood for almost 50 years and have had different breeds like GSD, Great Danes, Dobermann, Terrier mix and a labrador, I have till date never fed my dogs so called pedigree dog food, I dont trust these commercial money making products and they are too too expensive for a middle class genuine pet lovers. I believe in giving my pets the best nutrional food in the form of veg, meat, eggs, milk and other normal feed.

Murali

i would say raw food is the best , if you want to give dry food then royal canin is the best.
drools is not good, i have 3 dogs Great Dane, lab and pom , all of them had lot of problem when i gave drools.

Hi Friends,
I have Two mudhol hound pups aged abt 2-2.5 mnths at my farm.
Have started with pedigree, chapati, rice. After reading so many posts about grain allergy will now stop chapati.
By raw food, do we mean UNBOILED chicken and goat meat???
Will also try RC after i finish the pedigree stock.
What other home food would members suggest.
I have never kept a pet earlier- literally a novice.

1)I will not consider pedigree because it contain filler, chicken waste & artificial preservative.

Hi Priti, Hi Pooja,

Hi Murali,
By raw food, do you mean Un cooked chaicken or goat meat?
Beef is not suitable in the long term- correct?
But a have seen strays eating beef.

roja khan

Pedigree- Full of fillers, artificial color , made from waste chicken and meat, contains artificial preservatives.
Drools- Better than pedigree, equal to RC in terms of results.
RC-Good BUT VERY COSTLY.

Golden rule....never buy a pet from someone who does it for a living as their life depends on the sale of the puppy and once sold it is a closed chapter. which breed are you looking for and why ? How would u know they are showing the correct pictures, most of the breeders will show u only fake parents as they dont want u to get in contact with the breeder so that u will know the actual price and comission :) I only breed rottweilers for 7 years now and i have friends who breed labs, golden and other breeds as a speciality and they do it for passion for the breed and not $$$ Thanks & Regards Lorven Pet Shop New BEL ROAD, Bangalore Shop Location > http://tinyurl.com/7rv87uk

I am not a doc but have experience...of 10 years with dogs Few questions... Does your dog have ticks ? Check the temp with a thermometer and let me know. Give microdox ( 1 tab per 10kg body weight ) If it still doesnt eat then take to doc immediately as saline needs to be given.
