its not the most expensive breed. it comes under rare breed.purebred DDBX costs more . As in rare breed like any other breed, quality counts. DDBX being gaint one needs a bit big pocket to maintain properly. Unfortunately, people try to make it an apartment or backyard dog.Its an eye catching and crowd pulling breed according to me. Hence breeding/owning has to be taken care with deep study of breed standard and not to go by breeder's own standard. Purebred and quality of any breed costs more. Like in Labs normal backyard breeders sell for 5-7K while good breedings costs start from 25k i assume and go high as quality goes higher. Same with DDBx. Dane type muzzle or unknown pedigree costs less while good standard and known pedigree will surely costs more. In India since gaint breed is not accepted by many due to time n space issue, not many favour to buy.
