Dachshunds are so sweet and loving, my Dachshund Odie, is like my child. Dachshunds have short legs and long bodies, this feature makes them truly unique in the dog world. Stubborn dachshund characteristics making them a little difficult to train, mine loves to spend time outside but it doesn't matter to him if he does his duty outside or inside. Using puppy pads have really helped us both.Dachshunds like your attention. If you can't give them lots of attention, they start doing bad things. You see this with dachshund rescue. It becomes a vicious cycle. The owner doesn't provide the needed attention, the dog acts bad, the owner avoids the dachshund even more, and so on, until the dachshund becomes another statistic and someone else's problem. So show your Dachshund lots of love and educate yourself about the care they need.
