Pugs are one of the most celebrated breeds across the world and have seen tremendous popularity in the last few years especially. With their short faces that seem to be their ‘cute’ feature, they have become a preferential breed for novice dog owners.
Here we have Loca the Pug with Ireland who is becoming widely popular for being part of a folk song that comically depicts a video of her inability to run like a normal dog. Loca is a part of a pack of four dogs (another Pug and two Boxers) with a family in the Republic of Ireland. Having got the viral attention due to her animated style of movement where she bobbed her head and hops off of her forequarters, Loca has taken the dog world by storm. Watch the video for a fun depiction with a catchy backing song.
Loca actually suffers from a condition called Cerebral Ataxia, where certain nerve cells in the brain are damaged. The part of the brain with damaged nerve cells results in loss of coordination for Loca, making her unable to climb stairs or slopes. But she gives justice to her ‘lap-dog’ statue by preferring humans carrying her around.
