10 Bollywood Celebrities With Their Dogs

When it comes to canine love, our Bollywood stars really go all out and shower their four legged companions with unrestrained affection. It goes without saying that their dogs live as luxuriously as their owners and are truly spoilt! We picked out ten celebs to get to know more about their love of dogs.

1. Koena Mitra - Koena Mitra’s love of dogs is pretty known throughout Bollywood. Cookie, Jiggy, Sushi, Missy, Bella, Fluffy, Jerry and Dude are the names of her eight dogs. The breeds range from Terriers to Poodles to Pekingese, all of them being toy breeds from exotic countries. The dogs are pampered with their routine late night drives and fresh chicken and vegetables along with their regular Royal Canin.

2. Salman Khan - Salman Khan, an avid dog lover, used to own two French Mastiffs with wacky names, Myson and Myjaan. He grieved for a very long time when Myjaan passed away during one of his shootings of London Dreams. He now has Veer, a French Mastiff and Myson, a Neapolitan Mastiff, who is named after his first pet. Salman claims that his dogs have taught him patience, contention and unconditional love.

3. Priyanka Chopra - It is a fact that Priyanka Chopra dislikes cats with a well known passion. However, her love of dogs is as extreme, if not more. She absolutely adores Brando, her Cocker Spaniel. Brando is named after Hollywood actor Marlon Brando.

4. Shilpa Shetty - Shilpa owns quite a funny and cutely named Pekingese called Champagne. Champagne lives with two Persian cats. She is an animal activist and works with PETA.

5. Shahrukh Khan- This Bollywood superstar would rather talk to his dogs than humans whenever he is depressed! He has four dogs namely Dash, a Japanese Chin, Hulk, a labrador, Kai and Juicy, both Maltese. His dogs provide him consolation and peace.

6. Gul Panag - Gul Panag takes her love of dogs to the extreme. Both her dogs have their own twitter accounts. One’s a Cocker Spaniel named Milo and the other is Vegas, a Beagle. Both dogs seek their owner’s affection quite aggressively. She also takes her dogs on trekking and camping trips.

7. Celina Jaitley- A PETA activist, Celina Jaitley has been a dog lover since childhood. She owns three dogs, Teacup, a Jack terrier, Heineken, a cocker spaniel and an adopted dog called Gooblee. She is quite attached to her dogs and cannot wait to get back to them after work.

8. Tusshar Kapoor - Tusshar Kapoor owns many dogs. In addition to his large dogs, he adopted two pomeranians, Julie and Frisky, who fight for his attention. The bigger dogs live in the basement while the smaller ones roam freely and are looked after domestic help.

9. Bipasha Basu - Bipasha owns a chihuahua named Poshto who she adores a lot. It has been said that now owning a chihuahua will become a hot a new trend.

10. Arjun Rampal - Rampal owns two boxers, Gangsta and a female called Demi. His dogs have a special place in Rampal’s heart. Funnily enough, it was reported that his dogs are falling in love with each other! But sadly, Gangsta had to be separated from Demi. Poor fellow.
