We fail to understand, what fun do people get in torturing the animals. Amongst these kinds of people, two insane ones, named Annaliese Petersen and Khai Daugherty residing in Raleigh were arrested by the police in the charge of cruelty to animals. As per the warrants, both Petersen and Daugherty spitefully tortured, beat and finally killed a black dog. According to the police, the couple horribly killed the little pooch by drowning in their apartment’s swimming pool.

The crime was apparently committed on 18th August 2016. Daugherty was taken under the police custody and was issued a $3000 secured bond. This bond was raised to $10000 by the judge on Monday, 22nd August. His partner in crime, Petersen was arrested as well. Petersen told the media reporter that the dog drowned and they are giving CPR. She mentioned saying, “I pop out of the water and that dog is on the ground, and Daugherty is trying to get him to breathe,” she said. “I’m screaming ‘What’s going on?’ and he said the dog had drowned.”

According to Petersen, the CPR made the dog look as if the furball was beaten brutally.
She also added by saying, “Daugherty was beating his chest desperately to get the dog to breathe. That’s pretty much it. He was not hitting him to be malicious or brutal.”

The police aren’t leaving any stone unturned. Daugherty is still under police custody. The next court date of Petersen is 12th September 2016. If she is proved guilty, she would be sentenced 39 months in prison.
