5 Adorable Corgi Mixed Breeds That You will fall in love with

22 Aug 2016 | by | Posted in: Breeds

Corgis are undoubtedly one of the cutest breeds around, so when you cross them with other breeds, it isn’t surprising that you get some of the unique pooches. Mix breeds are aplenty these days, and the best part is that they combine the best of two worlds, giving you four legged friends that you’ll cherish for a lifetime to come.

1. Corgi & Dalmatian

Some would call this mix breed Corgimations, but for those of you who swear by official labels, what we have here is a breed that hasn’t been given a cutesy blended breed name just as yet. The lifespan of this unique breed of dogs is typically 12 to 15 years. These guys come in sizes that stay true to Corgis and spots that are undeniably Dalmatian

2. Corman Shepherd: Corgi & German Shepherd

When you mix two of the most intelligent breeds around, you’re bound to get a wise guy right? We must warn you though, if you don’t train them well enough, they might just try to herd you. Typical lifespan is anywhere between 12 and 15 years. Not a barker this one, but we’re sure his wits will come into play when need be, eh?

3. Horgi: Corgi & Husky

We’ve got huskies on one side that are sledge dogs and the herding kind, Corgis on the other. Their cross results in an advanced herding dog with high levels of attentiveness and energy levels. They are the ultimate survivors, that being the sole reason for this cross breed. Social, friendly and essentially family dogs if they lean towards the Husky side and are far more alert if they lean towards the Corgi side.

4. Shorgi: Corgi and Sheltie

This beautiful cross comes in brown, black, white or tan silky coat. They are known for being affectionate, lively, intelligent and fairly quiet. This breed needs plenty of exercises if you want to keep them healthy. Adorable is hardly enough to describe these four legged canines.

5. Corgipoo: Toy Poodle & Corgi

You will literally melt when you see this next breed. Most cross breeds retain the white silky coat of the poodle sparing a few brown streaks here and there that comes from the Corgi. Corgipoos are tricksters by nature and their antics are bound to leave you awestruck. When those stubby little legs are running around, it’s hard to get mad at anything they do!

Two dogs in one? We’d like to think so. Pick your poison and welcome your new scruffy little friend in style.
