5 Famous Classic Cartoon Dogs

18 Jun 2016 | by | Posted in: Funny Posts

Watching cartoons on a Sunday morning made my weekend. Honestly, Pluto was my favorite. However, there were so many popular dog cartoons that actually made our childhood super awesome. Here are some of the most famous ones.

1. Goofy and Pluto

A classic of Disney, aren’t they? Goofy a tall dog, who doesn’t gets caught in complex situations and solves it in a matter of minutes. On the other hand, Pluto, that is loyal pet of Mickey Mouse. He never leaves his owner’s side and loves him to the core. The smile on Pluto’s face certainly melts my heart.

2. Droopy

Droopy, as the name suggests has a droopy face. He was created by the comic genius, Tex Avery in 1943. A staple of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer aka MGM had a flat voice that sounded courteous and kind. Walking on two legs, Droopy was a smart dog. The stupidity of his enemies was a feather in Droopy’s cap.

3. Snoopy

Snoopy was an amazing dog. He was more than a friend to Charlie Brown and an adorable one for all of us. This black and white beagle breed taught us a lot about dogs. Check it out here.

4. Tramp

Another classic from Disney was Tramp. A part of “Lady and the tramp”, Tramp was a mixed breed dog along with Lady, a posh pooch, Cocker Spaniel. Tramp was a womanizer and tried to woo Lady every now and then. Cute and flirtatious!

5. Scooby Doo

Scooby Doo Where are you? Didn’t you just sing that sentence in your head? This was the most popular dog cartoon in 90s. a creation of Hanna-Barbera comprised of a bunch of young detectives with Scooby Doo, a Great Dane breed. This dog could mumble but most of the time the dog would run around scared. But in the end, Scooby Doo was pretty successful in fleeing the criminals like a boss! Great Stuff!

We love all of them. Tell us in comments, which one is your favorite dog cartoon.
