The loss of a pet is one of the hardest things one could face and only a pet parent will understand how devastating it is. The love and memories of time spent with our furry buddy deserves a befitting goodbye, one that marks the end of a beautiful friendship until we meet again.

At present, there are a number of electric crematoriums and pet cemeteries located in several metro cities which help grieving families wish a suitable adieu to their pets. The list is not exhaustive and we welcome your suggestions about the pet crematoriums that may be present in your city.

The burial rate for animals that were treated here, is INR 1,500 and for others, the price is INR 3,000.

People for Animals (PFA), Kengeri: People for Animals, Bangalore (PFA), known for care, devotion and for animal welfare operates an animal hospice in Kengeri on the city outskirts where it is green and serene. One of the services PFA offers is a burial ground in a separate area on the 6 acres of land at the animal hospice. On this land your pet can be buried with the dignity and respect it deserves after the years of affection and loyalty it has given you. On intimation to the shelter, of the pet's demise, PFA will send its ambulance to the house and pick up the animal. On the land in the shelter earmarked for burial, the pet will be given its final resting place (with all environmental norms observed). If the owner wishes to have a long-term memorial at the site, a stone marker can be made and the words of their choice inscribed. These services can be availed of, with a stipulated donation to the welfare of the animals.

These donations will be used to run the PFA hospice where sick, injured and abandoned animals are sheltered. In this way your pet will be contributing to granting a new lease of life to other animals. PFA which provides a 24 hour burial services charges a fee of Rs. 4500 for an unmarked burial, where the land is reused after available vacant land gets exhausted. And a permanent burial comes for Rs. 20000. The NGO also offers wood cremation and ambulance services to pick up the pet.
