8 Hindi Flicks That Depict Dogs

Time and again, dogs have been depicted in Bollywood flicks. From the early days of Hindi cinema to current times, we’ve been showed that dogs are loved by Bollywood, some of them even playing central characters. We chose 8 Bollywood films that have depicted dogs.

1. It’s Entertainment - This upcoming Akshay Kumar movie will feature a Golden Retriever called Entertainment. Akhil Lokhande, played by Akshay, initially makes plans to kill the dog but later develops a bond with him.

 

2. Chillar Party - This fun movie is about the bond between children and dogs, wherein the neighbourhood kids remonstrate the ban against stray dogs and finally win the end.

 

3. Hum Aapke Hain Kaun - This classic Bollywood film needs no introduction and neither does Tuffy, the Indian Spitz who played a major role in it.

 

4. Halo - This 1996 movie is about how one girl loses her puppy who she names Halo and her journey to find it.

 

5. Mujhse Shaadi Karogi - A very popular romantic comedy, it features a dog who is made into an instrument of blame, funnily enough. Watch from 1:06.

 

 

6. Biwi No. 1 - This popular film depicts a dog who plays a major role in unveiling an extramarital affair between one of the lead roles. In a setting full of lies, the dog is the one who unearths the truth.

 

7. Kya Super Kool Hain Hum - A 2012 comedy, it shows a struggling DJ who loves his dog more than anything in the world. In this scene Anupam Kher talks about his pug who he thinks was his mother in its past life.

 

8. Tere Meherbaniya - This 1985 classic is about how a dog, Moti, is the only witness to a murder. Some of the scenes depicting the dog are truly tear inducing.
