A Tennis Ball Attachment for Super Pooch Pictures! How Cool is that!

29 Sep 2015 | by | Posted in: Wag News

Hola pooches! Time to say cheese!

Dear pet parents, if you're anything like us, you would want your dog in every single selfie or picture ever. But it's pretty tough to get your furry baby to sit still and pose looking at the camera while you snap his perfect pic.

Jason Hernandez, a loving dog owner in San Diego, came up with the idea of Pooch Selfie - a simple attachment that comes with a squeaky tennis ball! You can attach it to almost any smartphone.

As of now, there a Kickstarter campaign to fund the attachment's production with a goal of raising $7,000. And as of last week, donors had contributed more than $4,700.

Hernandez told the media that he has been working on the project for nearly a year now and was inspired to create the 'Pooch Selfie' after seeing his wife experience some difficulty capturing a photo with one of the family's two rescue pit bulls one fine day. He said he noticed that a tennis ball successfully captured the dog's attention while trying to take pictures. That observation sparked a tada! moment and he began doing research for the feasibility of the product.

This  ridiculously simple looking yet brilliant device works with most smartphones and tablets, and can be used regardless of whether the user is utilizing the front or rear facing cameras, according to the product's website! Hernandez said that the pet owners can either keep the ball in the attachment itself, or pop it out and play fetch with their dog initially, in order to catch their furball's eyes.

Hernandez noted that the Pooch Selfie is especially effective those dogs who are crazy about balls, but it may not work with those dogs who don't like to play with balls!

But then, maximum dogs like playing with balls, isn't it?

The Pooch Selfie is expected to be available to the public by early next year.

We are super-excited about the pooch selfie!! And you?
