The insanity in humans is augmenting day by day. Recently, a rescue dog who belonged to an aged lady passed away when a random attacker suffocated him with duct tape. He literally wrapped the pooch’s head in a duct tape and led him to death. This incident took place at a house on Abercarn Avenue in Craigieburn. There isn’t a doubt this act took the insanity a notch higher. Lee Barton, who is Senior Constable at the local police station mentioned that this was intolerable and a hideous act. The dog, Toby was nine-year-old, rescued by an elderly lady. He described him as a friendly dog.

The sad thing here is that no report at the local council about the poor dog and the police infer the dog as a victim of an accidental attack. According to the detective sergeant Peter Griffiths, from Hume CIU, “This is a terrible crime. The dog died in a very distressed way, It was a gentle dog, wouldn't hurt anyone. That's certainly why the offender or offenders were able to tie it up and tape its nostrils and mouth. The dog was a refugee from the Lort Smith Animal Hospital. The lady has had the dog for about five years. Unfortunately, she became a widow recently and that was her pet and company and joy to continue her life with.”

The police are still looking for the attacker. We hope the assailant gets caught soon. May Toby’s soul rest in peace.
