Canines Join Hands to Raise Funds for Cancer Patients [News]

Recently there has been a growing need to create awareness about cancer amongst individuals. There are various events, such as Cancer Support Walks, Concerts etc. are organised across the world to raise as much awareness as possible. Not only do humans suffer from cancer, our canine friends too suffer from cancer and many a brave souls fight it off with required medication and chemotherapy.
On 26th July 2014, Cabezon Park in Albuquerque, US organised “Bark for Life”, a cancer fundraiser especially for dog lovers and dog parents. The event was organised to raise money for ongoing cancer research through the American Cancer Society.
The event involved a non - competitive walk of 1 mile, a dog costume contest, breakfast with dogs, event to rent a lap dog, professional pictures with your pet and a Dog King and Dog Queen of Cure contest. The event also honoured dogs who are caregivers for cancer patients.
Bark For Life is a community event that will honour the caregiving qualities of our canine friends. Bark For Life is an opportunity for people to join the fight against cancer while also acknowledging how much their dogs are an important part of their lives.
