There are chances that your dog might not be immune to insect stings or bite. Fleas, specifically flea saliva can cause itchiness and pain. As soon as you notice your dog scratching himself like a maniac, don’t hesitate to get an appointment with the vet. Also, remember to give him a thorough bath and then comb his fur with a flea comb. To prevent flea attack on your dog, wash his bedding at least once a month and vacuum often.

You might find it cute when you bless you dog whenever he sneezes. But, he could be sneezing because of allergy. Atopies, which are allergens for inhalant allergies can be caused by pollen, weed, mildew, grass, dust mites and weed. When inhaled via nose, it can make your dog sneeze or give rise to a runny nose. If his body temperature is between 101 degrees and above, take him to the veterinarian immediately.

Yes, just like humans, dogs can be allergic to food. It can be dairy products, or chicken or anything else. Observe if your dog has indigestion or general distress after eating food. One of the best ways to treat this kind of allergy is to eliminate that particular food from your dog’s diet. To find out which food is your dog allergic to, begin subtracting those, one by one from the diet plan. If your dog isn’t responding well to this, a trip to the vet is a must.

This kind of allergy is very rare. Keep a keen eye when and where your pup is scratching. Most of the time, it can be because of pesticides sprayed in the lawn, or carpet material, or bedding. Try and identify the cause. In case the scratching and itchiness are not being caused by the above mentioned, consulting the vet is the best solution.
