There is a lot that dogs will eat and we all know that they aren't the pickiest of eaters when it comes to food, unless of course it is something they don’t like. During the lockdown it can be hard to get them what they like the most and there are times when you have to cook them something special to get them to eat. Here is everything that one should know about what you can and can’t feed your dog during the lockdown and much more.

Wet Dog Food

One of the best options that you can give your dog is wet dog food since it would last for a long time and it can be mixed with other items. However, this isn’t going to cut it the entire lockdown since larger dogs eat more and this is pretty pricey. This can be mixed with other food that is less expensive like the dry dog food or even rice and some chicken to ensure that they are getting all of the nutrients that is required. Dry Food

If you are looking for something that will last for a long time without breaking the bank, then the dry dog food is a great option. There will be plenty of options that you can pick from that would work for any dog that you might have, even those who are senior and who need special food. Make sure that you have plenty of this so that you can feed it to them if there is nothing else that you can give them. Click here to order

Chicken and Rice

This might not be the best option, but if you have some chicken available, then you can easily boil it up while you are cooking for yourself. You should ensure that the chicken is in small pieces and that there isn’t any bones in it that would cause them to choke. Also, you should make sure that there isn’t a lot of spice in the mixture and give it with a bit of rice to ensure that they are getting the required protein.

What Not to Feed Dogs

There is a lot that you should think about in regards to what you shouldn’t be feeding them during this time as well, including:

  • Chocolate
  • Citrus fruit
  • Milk
  • Nuts
  • Chives, garlic & onions
  • Salt or salty foods

The more you know about what they shouldn’t be given, then the easier it would be for you to feed them during this time, especially if you are going to be cooking them some meals.

Make sure that you are thinking about what to feed the animals during this time since it can be complicated if you haven’t stocked up on anything. You can give them dry or canned food that would work well or if you have anything else, then you can mix it together to make it more palatable. You should also know what you shouldn’t be giving them, even with limited stock in the house, to ensure that they don’t get sick.
