Dog Trainers in India

31 May 2008 | by | Posted in: Training

I am keeping dogs from last 25 years now but I never ever hired a trainer to get my dogs trained. One reason was that I loved training them and another reason there never user to be freelance trainer available in early days of my dog keeping.

Recently may of my dog lover friends started keeping dogs and also hired Trainer for getting there dogs well behaved. My friends keep sharing there experience with me and at large they were not very happy with the performance of the Dog.

Many times it is discovered that these trainers take the dog alone and beat them to scare them, so that they obey what they teach. These kind of trainers should not be called trainers, in Indian Lingua they are madaries :D

I guess there is only one institute in India providing trainings about How to train Dogs; it is commando kennels. However the trainers do not take pains of attending any institute, rather they develop art of beating the dogs up!

I believe before handing over your dog to the Trainer a proper background check should be done. With the background check I mean to say that the dog owner should check trainer’s reviews, from previous training clients. Trainers who are retired from army are better than any other local trainers.

Next time you are hiring a trainer Do watch out! May be you are hiring a Dog beating devil

Oh my god, Thats awful. Here, we took my dog Frisky to certified trainers, affiliated to one big store, Petsmart. There were two ladies, who never took the stick or loud voice for anything while training Frisky, and guiding us, on how to work with Frisky. Is there some sort of institute in India for that Rana? Training people to become dog trainers, who constantly need certification updates?
