Dogs are our best companions. They give us moral support and in many cases become a trusted guide for life. We mean this in literal terms. Guide dogs assist blind and visually impaired people through their daily errands. They guide people around obstacles and get them to their destination safely.

Here is a snippet of a new ‘Dogumentary’ below gives an insight into the minds of such dogs and how their whole life is dedicated towards serving the blind and visually impaired. The video portrays a guide dog whose thoughts are voiced by Boman Irani and talks about how he doesn’t mind missing out on fun dog-activities just to be at his companion’s side.

Guide dogs, also called seeing-eye dogs, are specially trained to aid visually impaired people. For instance, is the biggest dog school in the US which helps veterans who became blind during war. Trainers say that Golden Retrievers, Labradors and German Shepherds make the best guide dogs.
