Ever wonder what your pet does when they're home alone? One man and his GoPro camera found it out the heartbreaking way!

Mike Holmes and GuinnessAs pet parents, we often wonder what our pooches and cats do when they are home alone while we are braving the hectic work schedule day after day. We wonder if they have games that they play to amuse themselves or if they simply sleep throughout the day without a bout of separation anxiety, depression or curiosity. Well that’s what Mike Holmes from a Springfield Radio Station 104.7 The Cave thought about his beloved dog Guinness (named after Mike’s favourite beer) until he got his very own GoPro and the video broke Mike’s heart.

Guinness, a 6 year old Golden Doodle (half Golden Retriever, half Poodle) has been with Mike since he was a puppy. When Mike recently got divorced, he made sure that his best buddy Guinness stayed with him. Curious about his day to day activities, Mike attached a GoPro camera around Guinness’s neck and left for work. When he came back, he saw the video where poor Guinness is howling, yelping, frantically going back and forth from the window to the door and finally collapsing on Mike’s bed to cry and howl and whine miserably only with a hope to see Mike again.

After watching the video, Mike has decided to bring home another dog to keep Guinness company. For Mike Guinness is like his kid and he wants the best for him.
