Family dumped a dog chained to house

05 Aug 2016 | by Deepshikha Tahiliani | Posted in: Wag News

Humans do more inhumanly behaviour as compared to animals. Yes, it is sadly true. Patsy’s human family did something, which is certainly ruthless. When they moved out of their house, they left the little adorable pooch chained to the house. It was fortunate enough that the members of an animal rescue organization located in Los Angeles, namely Hope for Paws received a call about Patsy. It took them no time in reaching the destination and saving Patsy.

When they arrived at the place, it was really heartbreaking to see the pup tied outside the house with a metal chain. The pooch had sadness in her eyes as if she was waiting for somebody to notice her. The founder of Hope for Paws, Mr Eldad Hagar mentioned saying that, “The neighbours up the hill heard her bark, gave her water and food and were trying to figure out what to do. They didn't want to untie her and then have her run away and get hit by a car.”

As soon she saw the rescuers approaching her, she was indeed happy and delighted to see that at least someone noticed her. She readily ate the food they offered. The glee was evident as soon as she was freed.

By the time Patsy was rescued, she was covered in ticks and fleas, hence was take to Costa Rica Dog Rescue immediately. According to the vet, Patsy was suffering from ehrlichiosis, which is a disease caused by ticks and commonly found in stray dogs. She was hospitalized and but that didn’t stop her from playing even for a moment.

Currently, Patsy is going under a treatment for the disease and will soon be taken to Los Angeles for adoption. We hope Patsy finds her forever home very soon.
