Everyone is talking about Pet Safety this Holi. And on a serious note, you have to be very careful. But then just by just keeping your dog indoors, you can't let him enjoy the festival! Is it fair that you play outside and your dog sits waiting for you to come back? Neah!
So what's the solution? Let's think of some really cool ways to enjoy along with our pets!
1. Pet Friendly Getaways!
Honestly I don't enjoy what my pet doesn't. I would rather spend a lot of time with my dog, rather than throwing water balloons on randon strangers walking down the street. Pet-friendly getaways come as a great escape to dog people like us on such occassions of Diwali and Holi which are quite unsafe for our pets. But be sure that you make your bookings at least ne week in advance as many people tend to travel on these occassions!

2. Dog Lovers’ Party
Too late to plan a Pet Friendly vacation? No problem. We have one more amazing idea. Call all your friends who have pets along with their pets! Even those friends who dote on your dog and are ready to sacrifice the festival for your adorable darling! You can play games, chit chat and have a total party! And you can start this one night before!!
Who is your dog's favorite? Ummm his '
naani', ' daadi' or ' maasi'. The ones who are ga-ga about your dog and whom your dog is also mad about!! Well, don't think twice and just land on to your relatives' place! Just ensure that they are not waiting for you with ' pichkaris' and ballons in hand!!! ;)
Well who said
pichkaris are only for colored water? There is absolutely no harm in throwing some plain water on your dog and making him jump with excitement!! Ensure to bathe him properly after your own version of cute pet-friendly holi and dry him off well!!
Dogs can't have the ghee, sugar and maida laden gujhiyas, well..unfortunately! But that doesn't mean you can't give him some extra cheat treats!!
P.S. You CAN give him an itsy-bitsy teeny-weeny bit of that ghujiya too! Come on! ;)
And hey, above all tightly hug your dog and wish him Happy Holi first thing in the morning!!
