It is certainly fun to watch our pets have fun and what could be better than them entering into a fully fledged competition of things they love to do. Isn’t it? Rio De Janerio is doing their bit to make sure that man’s best friend isn’t feeling left out during this entire gaming atmosphere.

After the immense excitement and thrill of Paralympics games, it was time for the dogs to have all the fun. Embrace yourself and get ready to see man’s best friend taking the Olympic spirit further. Rio de Janerio, Brazil hosted the event on 18th September 2016 and we were so excited. We saw the lovely dogs of all ages, sizes, and breeds competing for medals. The games included jumping, diving, running, and swimming. Seeing the adorable pets enjoying the games was one of the best parts of the event. both, the owners as well as the tail-waggers had the most fun time participating in the Dog Olympics 2016.

These exciting events for our adorable tail-wagers were held at Toto’s park club located in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janerio. Mima, who is a 9-month-old beagle, won a gold medal in aquatic jumping. Mima’s human, Aura Stella was overwhelmed and said, “I didn’t even know she had all this talent.”

According to the organizer and owner of the dog park, Mr. Marco Antonio Toto, the main aim behind organizing an Olympics for dogs is to socialize humans and their pets with the society. Meeting new people and dogs is indeed an exciting thing for the dog owners.

We love the effort done by Brazil and Mr. Toto by organizing first Dog Olympics. And we are sure the dogs loved the event even more. We hope India is taking a note with this and we are expecting to see in future more of these activities for our furballs in India as well.
