In one of the biggest Halloween Parades held in New York City, the 24th Annual Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade in lower Manhattan was a barktacular event where everyone had a woofing good time. Presented by Purina Beggin Strips Dog Treats, the parade saw hundreds of pups and their owners parading around Tompkins Square Park.

The event holds a competitive streak to it where the best dressed dog and the best costume gets a purple ribbon and an Apple I Pad, while the first place winners in round one and two get awarded a blue ribbon along with two tickets to see either a Cabaret or The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time on Broadway.

Pet parents are known to prepare for week and even months ahead for the competition, spending hundreds of dollars on hiring stylists and costume designers for their beloved pooches. Owners are probably more interested in the media coverage that the event gets.

For the judges its definitely a hard time to pick up the best from such furtastic entries!!

Following the Halloween party in New York, on 1st November 2014, Delhi will see its first ever Pet fed Convention to be held in Dilli Haat. With various activities lined up for pet parents and their pooches, PetFed hopes to bring together pet lovers and raise awareness about the adoption and rescuing of abandoned pets than purchasing them from breeders.
