Dogs are truly man best friend. For us, their love is unconditional and selfless. The loyalty is unmatched. The recent example of this selfless love and loyalty was seen when a Doberman fought to death with 4 cobras that attacked Dibakar Raita and his family. This incident happened in Sebekapur village located in Gajapati district, which is about 400 km away from Bhubaneswar.

Dibakar’s sorrow was very evident for his best bud who died a heroic death while fighting for his owner with 4 cobras. Dibakar mentioned, “I’m shocked. He has made the supreme sacrifice for me and my family. I will remember him till our death. I pray God - May his soul rest in peace.”

The aftermath says that the snakes were basically mountain cobras that are often seen in the area during monsoons. On Monday, 11th July2016, cobras tried to sneak into family’s house. As soon as the dog detected their presence, he stood in front of them and guarded his owner like a true hero.
