With so many of sad news from the animal world these days, we had forgotten to smile, until we came across this. Netherlands is one country which is certainly the most pet-friendly one in the world. There isn’t a single stray dog on the streets of Holland. Want to the reason behind it? The government knows whom to punish. The laws regarding the animal cruelty are appropriate. The government has made it mandate to arrest the animal abusers and put them in jail.

Along with issuing the law that out the animal abusers in Jail, the Dutch government has also provided free sterilization and neutering for all pet owners in the country. Adding on to this, the government imposes high taxes on purchasing pure-bred dogs. They put more emphasis on adopting a dog rather than buying it from the market.
With such high end facilities for dog owners, it is understandable as to why there aren’t any strays in Holland. On the other hand, Indian government should learning from them. People in India are throwing little dogs from roof, sticking them with tar on the ground, and the list is endless. The incidents haven’t stopped since a long time now. With minor punishment charges for the animal abusers, no arrest, no jail, cruelty to animals in India is on peak right now. We hope our government gets inspired from Netherlands and taken the required measures soon.
