Hyperactive Dogs

For the 6 months I have had my Boxer puppy, Yuri, my life has been turned inside out! He gave 'Hyperactive' a new meaning and I say this in all seriousness. When his excess energy was not given an outlet, it turned to aggression and I knew I had to do something about it fast!

As I cannot walk him, I employed a professional Dog Walker (who charges me an arm and a leg BTW) who walks him hard for an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening. The result. being a tired, but happy dog and owner.
I also bought and read the book 'Cesar's Way' by Cesar Millan, it made me a better dog owner ! So I recommend it to all who are presently sailing in the same boat as I did.

It has taught me to be Calm-assertive (and it works!) - not hyper as I used to be. Being in this state I am more in control of Yuri than the other way around. So to all those owners who are presently in the situation, there's help out there - you just have to recognize the need and then get it!

Hi Inez, Good to know this, these days I am also involved in behavior correction of a Tibetan Mastiff. Could you suggest from where to get a Dog Walker? (I mean from where did you arranged a Dog Walker)
