, the size of the a deck of cards, with incorporated speakers and vibrating motors called haptics transmits data about the dogs - whether they are sitting, standing or running - wirelessly. The collected data can be interpreted and communicated and further conveyed through a software which will translate human requests into signals on the harness. This technology can find its application in a variety of activities - whether its search & rescue or therapy/service dogs or even training your pet. The researchers at present are refining the design and explore applications on the platform. The findings have been published in the Journal IEEE Intelligent Systems.
