Open Conversation Between A Dog And His Owner On The Dreaded Last Day

08 Jul 2016 | by | Posted in: Life with Dogs

When the most dreaded day finally comes, it's more difficult than anyone imagined. We can show you what both you and your dog would want to say to each other:

(Sitting in the room with nobody else around)

OWNER: Hey buddy, how're you feeling today?

DOG: You know how I feel every day when you're by my side. Perfect! Just that physically I know something is wrong with me.

OWNER: If I had known that on that day our time was near the end I would have done things differently, my forever friend.
I would have stayed right next to you deep into the night but I thought I’d see you in the early morning light.

DOG: That's alright, I know how much you've loved me for all these years. I know how many times you did not eat because I was not eating. I know how many times you cancelled your important meetings because I wasn't well. All of that you never did for anybody else. Only for me. Why, though?

OWNER: You should know why. Remember when I came back from work very upset because my boss shouted at me? You stood there with even more joy than you usually have and completely distracted me from my bad mood. You have always been by my side to make me the happiest person there is. And do you remember how when I was sick, you did not leave my bedside till I was okay again?

DOG: Oh yes I remember! I wish that sickness never touches you now. After I'm gone, who will take care of you? Who will know that you talk in your sleep and to lick you when you do that so you don't have a bad dream.

OWNER: I will never have a bad dream now. You will visit me every single day in my dream. Promise me that, please. I want to know that you will always be in my heart. Even if I can't touch you I will feel you.

DOG: I promise I will never leave you. But ouch it hurts, I think I need to vomit. I'm sorry, you'll have toe clean again.

OWNER: Never say sorry! I am here for you. Till the very end. Hoping with every breath that you get better.

DOG: I don't want to disappoint you but I think its time, its time for me to leave this pain. You know you made the right decision.

OWNER: I am sorry for any day that I did not give you enough time. I wish I could live those days with you again and again.

DOG: I know. I know. But you have all the memories, forever.

OWNER: Forever my friend, forever.

No words to say after this. I just hope you all give lots of time to your dog and make his limited days special. Please share something about your bond with your dog in the comments section below.
