Patiala Show - A Disappointment

The recent dog show held at Patiala was a big disappointment.. Rain played spoil sport along with the cold and cloudy weather. Participants were seen showing their dogs in wet grass full of wet mud, puddles, avoiding to skid themselves and dirty their clothes int he muddy slush. No arrangement was made to install tents under which show could have been conducted, the weather was bad since a couple of days and rain was expected, but no precaution was taken by the club. Participants, their dogs suffered big time, its time clubs woke up to these type of problems. When u arrange something, u take into account the unseen too, u take into account the hindrances and 'could be' problems, people come to show their dogs from long and far, some arrangement has to be made in case of bad weather !
Judging too seemed unfair, either the judges were in hurry to give judgement cuz of rain and cold weather, some participants were seen entering the ring and adjusting their dogs to stag, and judge simply asked for 1 round and gave his judgement. A hurried, poor judgement !! While people were facing the poor weather and rain the judge was simply sitting under a make shift tent and giving judgement. How can u judge a dog by sitting far off, without making an effort to move n go close to each dog to examine, without even giving each dog a proper look !! Atleast be a sport and encourage the participants rather than sitting under roof giving hurried biased judgements !!
