Pup Rescued From A Trash In Anderson

09 Sep 2016 | by | Posted in: Wag News

Sometimes good times come once you face the bad phase in your life. Same thing happened with a dog called Callie. She was thrown out of a pickup truck and dumped in the trash in Anderson Country, South Carolina. Thankfully a few animal control officials saved her. It wasn’t long after that, Callie found her new forever home. The founder of Boxer Butts and Other Mutts, Heidi Schermerhorn-Wagner and nourished her in every way possible. Suffering from a bad skin infection, in turn making Callie’s body filled with wounds. According to a vet, it was the worst case he had seen. Wagner says, “At first all she wanted to do was lay curled up in a ball, She would just shake. Even when holding her, she did not want to look at you. She would cower when you went to pick her up.”

As it is said, dogs understand well what you are saying and Callie was extremely thankful to Wagner for saving her life. The pooch is still going through medical procedures. With leaving behind the fear, the little furball is learning how to be a pup these days. According to Heidi, “She loves, loves, loves toys. Now that she can walk better because she is not in so much pain, she can run and run she does."

One of the most potent medicine is feeling wanted, and Callie is being showered with all the love she deserves. Right now, Callie needs at least four months of time before she could be put up for adoption.

Despite she needs a lot of medical attention right now, but one she is fine, Callie would indeed be the best pup one could get.
