28 Aug 2016 | by Deepshikha Tahiliani | Posted in: Wag News

Another insane incident of animal cruelty took place recently in Bangkok, Thailand. A neighbour brutally chopped off a 9-month-old pup’s front legs with a sword. The lunacy is rising with a rocket speed. However, the pooch gets a second chance on life. This pup named Cola got new prosthetic legs after this dreadful incident. A huge thank you to the Soi Dog Foundation, they took Cola under their guardianship and made sure that he doesn’t lose hope in any way.

The incident of this awful cruelty to Cola took place around May 2016. Apparently, the dog was chewing on a neighbour’s shoes and this pissed him off big time. the owner tried to compensate him for his damage. But, he was not satisfied internally. The cruel one returned to Cola and chopped off his front legs with a sword. Moreover, he also threatened the owner that if she complains, he will not leave his other dogs as well.

Cola’s human didn’t have any second thoughts and contacted Soi Dog Foundation along with local authorities. As a result, the neighbour was arrested and was sentenced to one-month detention under Animal Welfare Law. After the terrible happening, Cola was taken to Phuket by Soi Dog Foundation for recovery. As per John Dalley, the co-founder of SDF told that the pup is adapting really well with his new prosthetic legs. Also, love for animals is immense as well. numerous offers flooded SDF for Cola’s adoption. Dalley’s wife, Gill adopted him at a single go. Gill herself is a double amputee.

The bond between Cola and Gill is unbelievable. We hope Cola has a super happy life with Dalleys.
