Dear Priyanka,

The problem is simple. Because you have had a baby and now most of your time and energy is taken up by your baby, the dog is feeling left out and neglected/ not loved.

If the dog has been attached or used to you mostly, then take out some time each day and spend it with him playing or just sitting on the sofa with him petting him. In this way he will again start getting your love and attention and at the same time you will get a break from your baby which must be exhausting as I too am a parent. In case the dog has been attached to someone else then they too should take out extra time to spend with the dog.

Basically the dog is feeling left out due to the new addition in the family. Also remember never to leave your child unsupervised with any dog, regardless of how good or well trained a dog is. This is a general rule, as children too can be unknowingly harsh or may hit a dog, pull his ears etc.

All the Best.
