well that's not the best thing to do i totally agree there is no reason to let stranger to touch people ill make a video and send you jyot how my 5 month old puppy barks aggressively on command well just dont make dog bark for food i mean
tie her up step back take a treat with you which ever you train with just tease her when she barks just say yes and give her treat repeat her few times atleast 5 to 10 times then try to intourduce the work command which ever you like bark speak or german language geb laut which ever you want that will do the trick and well you said 2 years old LUCKY? hmm my dog is too aggressive any way not human but animal aggressive

My 3 yrs. lab even barks on, who comes in the house (strangers) but after than he just goes near him and wags his tail. I cant expect from a lab aggresive manner. Some people told me that also JYOT says : Keep the dog tied in the room. dont allow anyone to touch. But I strongly oppose. If my child does not do something than I never punished my child like this than y my lab? Even my dog barks when we say. Or I speak loudly to someone. but never attacks. !!!!!!

sorry Jyot. I do not intend to say u like this. I just express my views that people told me that u also says. I didn't want to comment on ur dog keeping schedule or habitation. Its a common tendency in people who want their dog in aggresive manner, who also advised me that "Keep the dog tied, starved etc..." There is some misunderstanding either in my language writing. Once again I feel very much sorry if I hurt u.

A lab is not a guarding breed, it is the descendant of the newfoudland dog, which was bred to tow nets full of fish in icy waters. So a la]b has thenatural instinct of "fetching" rather than "gaurding". Havind said so, any dog for that matter can be trained to bark, and that too at any age. But trainig the dog to bark excessively can also be disastrous, as he will not allow you to have a conversation with your visitor.

Hi Prince! I have a female lab who is 1 year 9 months old. Dont forget that its a retriever. Its not a ROTT or DOBERMAN. Its the smartest breed in the world. I use to think in the same way as you do because my pet never use to bark at all. We thought as if she does not have a voice. But an experienced person told me to tie her up in a place from where she could watch everybody but nobody should go near her for 30 mins in the morning and in the evening. This has to be done everyday for 3 months and automatically when she will see that nobody is pampering her she will start barking to the loudest. Believe me when she barks at strangers nowadays cups fall from my hands.

Prince, you can try this formula.

Try take him away from Strangers everytime he barks and he will stop establishing that connection with strangers after some time, right now he wags tail and he thinks that stranger who comes so close in his own house is not enemy, though it's just a logical thought based on Amitava's experience.
