I don't know why people want their dogs to be aggressive,an aggressive dog is a good way for someone to get bit.. and for you to get sued, and the dog will be taken away and destroyed . Aggression is never desirable in dogs, aggressiveness is a behavioral problem , and the protective instinct is natural in GSD's give him time to develop it , and trust me you don't want an aggressive dog cos there are a lot of problems which come with the aggression , even a quiet dog is a dangerous dog sometimes, let it be like that and love him unconditionally he will be protective for you in time ,

I think the word aggression is used in the sense the owner wants the dog to bark at stranger. I agree with kamal that the puppy is still developing protective instinct. I think it varies from one dog to another. Surprisingly, my 6 month old lab is higly wary of new people and he just wont mingle unless given green signal.

Please do not be irresponsible and want to look big! The dog will know itself when and what to do. Do not force him to do anything wrong.

Those are the type of people that are NOT in any way suitable to own any breed of dog. People should never encourage or teach aggressive behaviour in their dogs, it's cruel. Their dog could attack somebody and kill them and then have to be put down all because of them! It's selfish and puts peoples lives and also other dogs in danger.
