At what age does a Dog starts to gain muscle mass?

At what age does a Dog starts to gain muscle mass? What can be done to tone up the muscle mass? Mine is a 11 months old Boxer. I do not want to strain him too much without knowing actuals. We do a brisk walk followed by a jog for 30 mins every day.

making him jog or run up hill and make sure u take a longer way going down , or on sand is gonna be helpful for toning up muscles, swimming is also a good exercise , for the rear end muscles u can try exercises like making him sit and stand or backing him up at home .

well yes do that running on the sand is as good an exercise and i think if u can drive the east coast road after u cross kanathur(mayajaal) has the perfect places , try if u can get him to swim also.

you can tek him for jog in cycle . 3-4 km will do to keep him fit. next is diet. muscle needs basically protein.. add more protein in balanced way.. If he is a good breed boxer by age of 18 month u will find him in good shape

as per book 3-4 km is too much for 11 month but practically if u taking him at correct pace its okay.. and they are capable of doing much more, If you will surf you tube you 'll find 10 month boxer are doing excellent stunts and jumping gr8.. it s your choice... most of the places in our country doent have play park for dogs where one can tale their dog of various exercise.. excessive jumping can cause compression at this age so jogging seem sto be best.
