Hi Nilanjana,

1st of all, NEVER leave your pet in a creche until an unless it's a very big emergency or something coz nobody can take care of your dog as much as u can.

Now coming to your question, we all have this prob these days, being working professionals we sometimes are so much occupied with our work that we cant even think of having a pet no matter how badly we want it...
There's just 1 solution for your prob, don't go for 1 dog... go for 2 dogs instead so that when u aren't around they are busy playing with each other n by the time they will get exhausted to realize that u arent with them... u will be back from work..just make sure that you give them maximum time, love and emotion while you are at home i.e. before leaving for work and then after coming back from work... Weekends should be the "Days in Paradise" for you and your companions....devote your weekends to them..

Now the question arises, how will you feed the new pups 3 times a day?
Here's the answer, feed them the 1st time BEFORE leaving for office, 2nd time when you are back from work and 3rd BEFORE going to bed...n while u r away just make sure that you dont leave any sharp instruments in their room, anything that may hurt them or that may fall upon them and lastly, pls pls pls keep ample amount of water for them coz they will get very thirstly while playing n at that time they need nothing but water...

Hope this helps
All the best for yr new companions..treasure each moment with them :-)

Thanks & Regards

PUG stay alone if provided the companion as Tariq said... but make sure that you should leave your puppy only 8 hrs or less.

I brought home 2 dogs and wish to share my experience. If one dog gets some sort of infection, it is difficult to keep another dog away from him. In my case, one dog's leg is injured and to avoid them play fiercely, I have to tie both dogs, thereby making injustice to other dog. If you do not have enough time for the dogs, and you like dogs, instead of bringing home one dog, you may spend time with many dogs in dog shelter etc. You may be working for 8 hours... what about the traveling time?

Thanks all for the reply, but there is a big difference in loving, caring and living with my own puppy and spending time in a dog shelter. :)

Tariq and Kamalraj - nice suggestion, i can think of this .. thanks
