Proper Diet of 2 month old puppy to make her look healthy?

Hi all, Need help.! I have Labrador female puppy. She is 2 months old. I bought her when she was just 13 days old ( i bought her early because of some circumstances) but she is weak though she eats a lot but still she is weak . I am giving her royal canin food +chapati+milk but she is not getting healthy. I want to make her little fat like other puppy. Also she is shedding lots of hair now a days. Please let me know. What should I give to her ? Let me know all the details..i really love her a lot..and want to make her healthy and want to see her in good condition always.

Puppy brought just in 13 dayz ...Thtz insane man....A pup shouldn't be separated from its mother for @least 3 months....Watever circumstances it might be....This is the only reason for which your pup is weak now.....

A pup needs all the nutrients and essential vitamins which only can be provided by its mother milk and trust me when i say that there is no substitute to mother's milk.

Dont feed her alot just coz ur pup is thin because for now bcoz it must b having a very weak digestive system and alot of food might cause her loose stools and diarrhea.....U must get in touch with a vet and do the puppy some good by keeping ur pup updated on its deworming and vaccinations schedule.

If you puppy is 2 months old try to start feeding him BARF diet, it will make your puppy strong and active. You can start with raw chicken minces soaked in hot water and feed him thrice a day (150gms x 3 times) approximately. You can also give him yogurt, once he is familiarized with raw food then you can give him raw chicken leg pieces, neck and so on. Once you start feeding BARF, say no to biscuits and grains...

BARF means Biologically Appropriate Raw Food or Bones and Raw Feed which means giving meat to dogs without cooking or boiling, the amount of meat you give should be in the appropriate percentage i.e. 80% of meat, 10% of Bones and 10% of organs (kidney/liver). You can also browse in internet about BARF.

As long as shes eating properly...dont bother about her weight. Check with your vet and see if shes having any disease. Do a deworming (as per Vet's Advice). Also beware Labs tends to put lot of weight in short span of time (unless you give them lot of excercise). As long as shes having regular food, dont worry. Dont do self medication on dogs.... as the experts advice provided over here is based on your few lines....take her to a vet he/she should be able to suggest you the proper solution. Based on what you have written...it doesnt look like a big problem...some dogs tends to put on weight after a particular stage....you dog is going grow till they ar 18 months old...so sometimes they take some time to put weight......regular deworming could help. if there is excessive heat they can also affect their weight...this is my experience....

Miss Mishra - It's always better to consult a veterinarian rather than self medicating. As for food, a two month old pup can start having a solid diet. Feed him a high-protein duet every 4 hrs for 6 months, then you could gradually keep it to 2 -3 times a day. Your Rhodesian was separated too early from his mother - should've been atleast 8 weeks. You should've fed him puppy milk formula, if you happened to gave brought him home too early. Always remember - Do not ever try to make your dog a vegetarian, even if you're one. Their digestive system simply aren't meant to handle plant matters - even though, some would argue by saying that their dog is a vegetarian; which, in my opinion is inhumane, as their natural diet is being restricted. Those dogs eat those food just for survival, as they know that's the only food they're ever going to get. So, do your dogs a favour and feed them accordingly, or feed them the best commercial kibble your money can buy. Hope I've been of some help. Cheers!
