I'm looking for natives Lhasa Apso, originary from the Tibetan area?

Amateur passionate of Lhassa Apso Breed, I'm involved in the search of Original Tibetan lines of this race, in the purpose of refinding the original caracteristics of the Breed. So I'm looking for natives Lhassa Apso, originary from the Tibetan area or North India or places where resides Tibetan refugies, where this race has maybe been saved from the Occidental caracteristics. I would be happy to meet anybody who has some detailed informations & the knowledge about this purpose. If this dog is findable, I am ready to come to India from France, to buy one. It seems that most of the Lhassa Apso available in India are mixed with the Occidental lines. I'm not interested in this kind of dog. Thank you for helping me in my search. Please answer me at myriam.bady@sfr.fr. Thank you very much. G.R.

Can you share pictures of the type of dogs you are looking for. I do live in an area where there are a lot of tibetans etc. How can one differentiate between the lhasa apso popularly seen in the show ring and the one you are looking for.

Sorry but I discover only today your message. There are few visible differences with the dogs which we can see on rings, best would be that you can consult www.tibetan-lhasa-apso.com Yolande de Zarobé's site, and that of the German TL www.pokahra.de, to understand the sense of my research. The purpose is to find dogs of origin, raised according to the traditions by Tibetan families. In any case dogs of origin not mixed with occitantales lineages. In West the breeders too often made crossings and unfortunate selections to obtain spectacular dogs. With my thanks. Gérard R.
