Can anybody told me at what age the ears of GSD breed will stand straight?

Can anybody told me at what age the ears of GSD breed will stand straight? I have an GSD bitch 3 months old, her ears was straight till 8-10 days ago but again both ears are fallen down now. Are these ears will stand automatically again or some thing I have to do?

Hello, it a normal tendency that the ears of gsd fall at early age but gradually they will stand. Don't worry, it would take around 6-8 months to stand. My gsd's ear have also fallen down. Its normal.

Interesting Fact Time: GSD are very close to wolves. like wolf GSD puppy are also born with floppy ears and they erect as they grow. The erect ears are the result of hard ear cartilage :)

The late your dogs ears stand up the large your dog will be. If your GSD ears are straight up at three months the they will be smaller than usual

sir i had the same thing mine is 8 months now they were erect at 4 months for some days but fell again now at 8 erect again .... i searched a lot on net ... what i found ...:-

No need to panic its normal, happens all over the world
Some would say give calcium, but what i found here that giving calcium with dog food (too much calcium
!!!),... may cause problems for ur gsd in future...
Is she teething ...thats the Big Question coz if she is the calcium is going into her teeths and when the teething stops then they would play their role nicely and ta-da ... ears erect... I repeat I am no qualified vet but this is what I experienced
No need to rush.... this could also be genetic... not father and mother but great great grnd father or mother ....there is something called friendly-ears,, drooping ears .... friendly ears are allowed for dog shows and drooping ears are not and also drooping ones are advised not to be bred .... BUT WHO WANTS A SHOW DOG >??? DO you ? ?
I am sure we all want our dogs to be healthy and happy:D
DOnt worry sir they will get erect,... just give her time and also your time thats most important

would advise you subscribe to newslettes from petplace and other sites they DO help!
